CMPStack vs Iubenda
Iubenda bundles a consent banner with generated legal documents (privacy policy, terms). Licences are per site and per feature. Below is where the two differ in ways that show up on an invoice or in a Lighthouse report.
| Dimension | Iubenda | CMPStack |
|---|---|---|
| Billing unit | Per site, per feature bundle | Per domain, flat. Every compliance feature on every plan |
| Traffic spikes | Not metered on most plans; check yours | Nothing changes |
| Script delivery | Hosted script; check the weight with the checker | 4,085 bytes gzipped, async, shadow DOM |
| Consent Mode v2 | Supported | Denied-first defaults set before any Google tag, updated on decision |
| Legal documents | Generated privacy policy and terms | Cookie declaration generated from the scan. We do not generate legal policies |
| Multi-client access | Multiple sites under one account | A workspace per client on its own subdomain, five roles, one login |
| Consent records | Consent log with export | Append-only receipts with a snapshot of the banner shown, CSV and PDF |
The Iubenda column describes their public product as we understand it in September 2026. Check their current pricing page before you decide; if a row no longer matches, tell us and we will fix it.
Fair warning
When Iubenda is the better fit
If you need generated privacy policies and terms alongside the banner, Iubenda covers that and we do not. Switch when script weight or per-site licensing across many clients becomes the cost that matters.
What moving involves
- Add and verify the domain
- Run a scan; categories come from our rule set, not their export
- Rebuild the banner in the builder; the score tells you if it is compliant
- Swap the script tag
Try both on the same domain.
Seven days, every feature, unlimited domains, no card.
