About
We built the consent platform we couldn't buy.
CMPStack exists so agencies, developers and SaaS teams can run consent without giving up page speed, paying by the pageview, or fighting a banner they cannot restyle.
Built by people who disliked every CMP they had used
Most consent platforms were designed for compliance lawyers, not for the people who build sites. They are slow, heavy, and hard to restyle without reading a lot of documentation.
We started CMPStack while building client sites and hitting the same wall each time. Every tool either cost page speed, locked us into a default banner, or charged per pageview, which punishes a site for doing well.
So we built the one we wanted: light by design, aimed at developers, and priced by domain for the agencies and teams actually deploying it.
Built for
How we build, every day
Performance first
The script loads async, never blocks the critical render path, and ships at 4,085 bytes gzipped. The build fails if it grows past 4 KB.
Transparency
No pageview traps and no retroactive billing. The pricing page shows every number. If a limit exists, you hear about it before you hit it.
Developer friendly
A typed REST API, one async tag, and Consent Mode v2 wired correctly without patching gtag. The tag fits your stack instead of dictating it.
Simplicity
Compliance is complicated enough. The panel shows what you need to stay compliant and leaves out what gets in the way.
Why this, and what is different
The consent market is split between enterprise tools retrofitted for the web and cheap widgets that treat compliance as an afterthought. Neither serves the people building sites.
CMPStack was designed for the current web stack: async first, edge compatible, and built around agency workflows from day one.
Frameworks supported
A consent banner should be invisible to visitors who have already chosen, and frictionless for those who have not.
We measure success by how little visitors have to think about it, not by opt-in rate. The default templates are built for clarity, not dark patterns. Honest consent is better consent.
Light by architecture
Not a wrapper around a heavier SDK. Purpose built, 4,085 bytes gzipped, no jQuery, no legacy code.
Agency tools that scale
A workspace per client, role-based access and bulk operations for teams managing dozens of clients at once.
Domain-based pricing
Pay per domain, not per million pageviews. Costs stay flat as traffic grows.
Measured, enforced or written into a contract
Gzipped size of the shipped build. Loaded async.
A headless Chrome check runs every build and fails above 0.10.
One script tag. WordPress, Shopify, plain HTML, Next.js, any stack.
The same catalogue the app validates against.
The tag loads async. Nothing on the page waits for it.
